A/C Service

Why should I have my air conditioner serviced?

Don't wait till it's summer to find out your car is low on R-134*. Believe it or not, you need working air conditioner even in the winter.

In order for the defroster to work properly, the air conditioning compressor in your car must dry the air out first.

Low R-134 may indicate a leak. However, some loss of R-134 is completely normal due to the various movement in  your engine and variation in the compressor's speed due to engine RPM.

Your air conditioning system should be checked at least once a year for proper operation and R-134 charging.

*At Butch's Main Street we only use R-134 which is a more environmentally friendly than the old Freon.
